The Lady Indians Varsity team defeated Morgan County on Thursday, April 19th to advance the round of 16 at state.  Morgan County forfeited their 2 doubles to provide 1 of the 3 points the Lady Indians needed to win.  The team of Lauren Welch and Jasmine Shubert at 1 doubles and 3 singles Lindsey Rushton provided the other 2 points with their victories!  #1 singles Izzy Kinard didn't finish and Marisa Miller lost at 2 singles.  Lady Indians will play Calhoun High School on Tuesday, April 24th at 2pm in Calhoun.

bOYS VARSITY END SEASON WITH LOSS AT jACKSON cOUNTY

The Lumpkin County Boys Varsity team ended their season in the first round of state after losing  to Jackson County on Tuesday, April 17th.



    Boys & girls head to state!         

Congratulations to the Boy's Varsity team for finishing 4th in regional rankings.  They will play #1 seed Jackson County at their site in the first round of state playoffs.  Girls finished 3rd in the region and will play #2 seed Morgan County at their location.  Boys will play Tuesday at 4 pm and girls will play Thursday at 4 pm.

Making Lumpkin County History!


Congratulations to junior Isabelle ( Izzy ) Kinard for setting a new school record at Lumpkin County High School.  She is the first player in the history of  Lumpkin County's Varsity tennis program to remain undefeated in season match play, including the Granger Tournament.  This is Izzy's 3rd year on varsity and plays the #1 singles position for the girls team.

Lady Indians complete the regular season with a 3rd place finish going into the region tournament to be hosted by Lumpkin.  Boys finished 4th in the region.

  • Boys play 5th seed East Hall at 8:30 am on 4/11- winner will play GAC at 12 noon
  • Girls play 6th seed East Hall at 10:00 am on 4/11- winner to play GAC at 5pm

lady indians varsity take top honors in granger tournament

For only the 2nd time in Lumpkin school history, the Lady Indians Varsity team win their division at the Granger Invitational Tournament held on March 9th & 10th in La Grange, Georgia.

3/22- GAC TOO MUCH FOR GIRLS AND BOYS TEAM
The girls Varsity loses in tight contest to Greater Atlanta Christian to end regular season with 1 and 3 singles taking only points.  Boys lost at all positions.

3/21- GIRLS AND BOYS FALL TO NORTH HALL
The girls Varsity experienced their first team loss of the season. The  girl's and boys teams each took 1 point.

Dawson proved to be no match for the girls and boys varsity teams, easily winning at all positions

The girls Varsity win easily in all positions against East Hall with the  Boys taking 4 points.

The girls Varsity showed no sign of stopping with their win over Chestatee at all positions.  Boys were took the 3 singles spot with Kyle Trammell winning.  Girls still undefeated on season

Varsity boys and girls strengthen their season with wins at West Hall and N. Forsyth on 2/21 and 2/22. Girls are 4-0 on season and boys are 3-1

2/15-Girls Dominate at Stephens County

The girls Varsity continued to show dominance in their 4-1 win over Stephens county.  Boys were unable to secure a win at any position despite playing well and tight match at 1 doubles.

2/13-Varsity starts season off strong

Lumpkin girls and boys got off to good start with home season opener matches played against White County.  Lumpkin won all matches.

on November 11th staff and administrators gathered for a ribbon cutting ceremony at newly created tennis courts.


Key administrators and construction contractors stand by as Head Tennis Coach Alan Hogan cuts the ribbon to open the courts for play.  A crowd of about 50 current and former players along with parents were on hand to witness historic event.  Courts were open for play immediately afterwards.
