ROTC

Lumpkin County JROTC Cadets Liam Kearney and Isabelle (Ivy) Stowers earned a spot to compete in the 2026 JROTC Service Championships, Regional Competition in Anniston, Alabama.

Each year individuals and teams compete and are ranked by their JROTC Service (Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps) with the top scoring teams and individuals qualifying for the JROTC shoulder-to-shoulder Service Championship.

Kearney shot a 283 and Stowers shot a 284 out of a possible 300. These two Cadets represented Lumpkin County strong by securing two of only five Army precision (individual) rifle invitations to compete at the competition!

Their advancement to the Regional competition provides them with the opportunity to compete in a major shoulder-to-shoulder competition while representing Lumpkin County High School and the JROTC program.

The JROTC Service Regional Championships is also the qualifying competition for the 2026 National Championships, held at Camp Perry, Ohio in March, where all service branches will compete for the overall championship.

Congratulations Lumpkin County JROTC Cadets!
