In homeroom Monday, Dr. David’s students created tissue paper flowers and wrote appreciation cards to teachers. They put the cards and flowers in teacher mailboxes. It was amazing to see the different flower designs created 💐 🌸 🌺 and a fun way to start the week off right!
Mrs. Stroud’s class joined Mr. Fagan’s class for a science lab this morning! Students practiced different ways of measuring parts of a whole using chocolate bars.
7th grade students had fun in STEAM today! Katie Parker Gravlin, owner of Chestatee Bee Farm in Dahlonega spoke to the classes about bees, let them See and touch hive equipment and also taste her newest batch of honey!
Coach Rhodes's 7th grade ELA classes participated in an immersion station rotation learning and writing about the 1960s.
Dr. Davis is using home room time to get students working together, laugh, and learn more about each other. Check out their monster runway fashion show!
Mrs. Brunner tries to follow step by step directions written out by her students for making a PB&J. The kids were able to see how precision of language is important, especially when giving directions!
We are so excited to have full time band, art, and chorus programs at LCMS! Hardwood, Isaacs, and Martin are doing amazing things already with our 6th graders. 100% of their students were engaged in creating art today. Not every middle school is lucky enough to have 3 amazing teachers, but we are!
Mrs. Carden's class worked on how important it is to read directions and work together. Individually students did not know what the puzzle said, however after working together they were able to complete the puzzle to solve the mystery. Moral of our story, we are #bettertogether
Our leadership team took time this week to examine all areas of our school to deter im ins our strengths and areas for growth. This is going to be an amazing year at LCMS!
