
The boys soccer followed up the girls with a win of their own against Dawson. Our boys won 4-0 in their first game of the season.




Soccer season finally got underway today. The girls started off the year with a 7-0 victory over Dawson County.




The deadline to register a team for the Adult Field Day AND get a shirt is February 10th! If you've been holding off, now is the time to get your registration in!




Another great day on the 8th grade field trip. More posts will come later about what we did today. Right now, we are about to load the Georgia Queen for our riverboat dinner cruise.


The 8th grade annual field trip to Savannah began early this morning as we departed school at 6:00 am. The first stop on the trip was a visit at the Ocmulgee Mounds in Macon.




LCMS 8th graders on the field trip got to visit the first public school classroom of Georgia today by visiting the Massie School in Savannah. The school opened in 1856.



Stop #2 on the 8th grade field trip was at the Yamacraw Village in Savannah. Our students were able to participate in their own re-enactment of a battle.





Both LCMS 8th grade basketball teams won their semifinals games tonight. They are both championship bound tomorrow!! Girls at Union at 5:45, Boys at Fannin at 5:30. Good luck Indians!!


We would like to congratulate Jack Merritt and Amber Sugarman! After two rigorous auditions they have been selected to participate in the GMEA Allstate Chorus in Athens GA this February!


Our middle school chapter of FBLA had an awesome showing at regionals. We took home 15 medals across multiple events. We are super excited about the state competition coming up next month!



UNG Student Teacher Mr. Griffith demonstrates heat transfer and thermal expansion to 8th grade Physical Science students through coffee roasting!



Sheriff Jarrard came to LCMS today for an assembly about the dangers of social media, technology, and vaping. The Sheriff also lined up a representative from Northside Hospital who is an expert in the harmful effects of vaping. Thanks Sheriff for helping us make our kids aware.



Lumpkin County Middle School hosted the Dahlonega Sunrise Rotary Club for their weekly meeting. As a function of Public Relations, our school system hosts a different organization at each school, each year. Thank you, Sunrise Rotary, for supporting our school system! It was our pleasure to share all the great things going on at LCMS with your members.




March is only a couple months away, and we are excited about our Adult Field Day in Lumpkin County! It's time for you to start forming your teams! Don't delay; join today!




8th grade students participated in the 4th Annual Bingo Bash in their ELA classes today. They had the opportunity to win prizes for their knowledge of important concepts from the semester.





The 8th grade band for LCMS had their Holiday concert tonight. Mr Harwood has done an amazing job leading a very talented group of young men and women. The show was excellent and enjoyed by many.



The 6th and 7th grade LCMS band, directed by Mr. Anderson, had their Holiday Band Concert tonight at LCMS. Our band is looking very strong for years to come. Mr Anderson and the students have worked very hard and put on a great show tonight.




Parent Groups went so well this semester, we are gearing up for our Parent Groups next semester! If you have students in any of our three elementary schools or in the middle school, mark your calendar now!





Yet again, Mr Tee and his chorus classes put on a show for the annual Holiday Chorus Concert. Our students were simply amazing.




Today, our 8th Grade students got to experience Chemistry Day - a day where our teachers demonstrated experiments of chemical reactions, solutions and FIRE!
