
Four AP art students submitted their 2D art portfolio. These students worked all year creating multiple artworks investigating a theme they chose in the fall.
These students are Riley Osborne, Lia Jimenez, Kaylin Cash, and Emily James.
Riley investigated beauty standards. Lia investigated socio economic groups, Kaylin investigated genocide in Native American communities, and Emily investigated the astrological sign - Leo.


FCCLA will be selling flower bouquets from La Fleur Dahlonega at Lumpkin County High School's graduation. Bouquets will come in small $15 and large $35. Pre-order can be placed on the following Google form: https://forms.gle/aBEiFEECXYMhDLZs8

Our CTAE Department hosted our district's fourth grade students last week for an in-system field trip aptly named, "4th Grade CTAE Day." We aren't sure who had more fun--the fourth graders, the 4th grade teachers, the high school students or the CTAE teachers?!

The State Championship for the 1600m (1 mile) is complete. Wyatt Windham was projected to finish 5th and ended up finishing 3rd overall. He ran a 4:24.13 which is a new personal record and a new school record.
He also ran the preliminary 800m (1/2 mile) and was second overall. He ran a 1:58.56 which is a new personal record and a new school record.
Tomorrow Wyatt will run the finals in the 800m (1/2 mile) and the 3200m (2 mile).
