We want to make you aware of a situation occurring earlier today. Administration was informed by our students of an incident with a classmate. Upon learning of the report, our administration worked alongside the Lumpkin County Sheriff's Office to conduct an investigation and isolate the student in question. Although the student was not found to be in possession of a weapon on his person, an air-soft look-alike gun was found in his vehicle. The look-alike gun was not inside our school, and our students and staff were never in immediate danger. We are grateful for the swift actions of our team and the LCSO. Our number one priority is and always will be the safety of our students and staff.

Thanks to the generosity of Lowe's Home Improvement and the SkillsUSA Grant, our carpentry students at LCHS are using the tools and equipment purchased to give back to our local community!
