Several students from foreign language participated at UNG Modern Language Day 2022, this past week. Nine counties were involved in the competition. Dawson County, Forsyth County, Gainesville City, Jackson County, Morgan County, Hall County, Gwinnett County, and White County.
Mr. Rambin, Mrs. Zdroba, and Mrs. DeMiranda are extremely proud of how well our students represented LCHS by competing in both French and Spanish events.

Going to Trade School/Tech College? Don't forget the very short Hoss Moore Scholarship form is due by MAY 1 to the LCHS Counseling Office. Stop in to pick one up to apply- this is a $500 award! If you need a copy of the form, stop by the Counseling Office.
Female seniors with a military family member: Don't forget to apply by April 28th (TODAY) to American Legion Auxillary scholarship! Applications can be picked up in the LCHS Counseling Office and turned in to Counseling as well.

Attention Seniors. Are you interested in starting a career the week after you graduate that includes getting credentialed within the first 3 months of employment? If you are interested in a career in Aluminum Welding and you are willing to attend class at Lanier Tech one day a week for 7-10 weeks, contact Mrs. Paula Cooper today. Interviews begin next week.

Dr. Alldred's Anatomy and Physiology classes are hard at work this week learning about the Digestive System.


Our annual Athletic Physical Day is tomorrow beginning at 2:30 PM. Make sure you pick up a form in the front office. Physicals are only $10 per athlete and are valid through the end of next school year (May 2023). Middle schoolers will need to have a parent present.

After a two year break from the special games due to Covid, Dawson and Lumpkin County Schools were finally able to meet again for the Special Games. This year, the games were hosted by Lumpkin County.
