LCHS Track started the season off in a dominant fashion as it traveled to West Hall High School. Lumpkin finished 1st overall with combined boys and girls score. The woman’s team took first after more than doubling the second place team score! LCHS broke 3 school records yesterday taking first in 13 different events.
The most outstanding player was senior team captain Mercedes Housman. Housman took first place in all four of her events: 100m dash, long jump, triple jump, and the 4x100.
Lumpkin looks to continue its winning ways next week @ Gilmer County.

LCHS hosted the Lumpkin Leadership Class of 2022 today. More than 30 business and industry leaders from our community spent their day integrating with students, learning content, creating artifacts, and enjoying our one-of-a-kind deluxe salad bar school lunch. We were proud to showcase our school, cafe, teachers, and student body. They left our building with a better understanding about our mission; to educate and empower life-long learners. Today was a great day to be an Indian!

A big shout out to Country Financial for sponsoring and recognizing our Soccer Players of the Week. Congratulations Ethan Layne and Nicole Limehouse, you have both represented your teams well! #GoIndians!

Join us tomorrow night for our Home Opener at 6 pm. Admission is $2. All proceeds will support Lumpkin Heroes.

As a part of National FFA Week, the LCHS FFA chapter gave all faculty and staff a package of pork today in an effort to “Strengthen Agriculture”. The LCHS TR1BE can taste the work that Ag students have put into raising the hogs that were processed locally at The Steel Buffalo Butchery. It has been a GREAT day to be an Indian!
