Welcome Back LCHS!

The LCHS Open House and Freshmen Focus were a huge success today! We are all looking forward to kicking off the new school year tomorrow August 5! WELCOME BACK LCHS Students, WELCOME BACK!

Yesterday, we invited our business, industry, and community partners in for our College and Career Academy Steering Committee meeting. Our sub-committees reported out on the work they've accomplished, and we discussed our next steps!

LCHS faculty and teachers took a field trip over to the Ranger Camp to team build and enjoy a FABULOUS breakfast this morning!

We are looking forward to meeting your students tomorrow, August 4 at our Open House (9:00-1:00) or at our Freshmen Focus (1:00-3:00).

Mike Linch welcomed back LCHS teachers with a FANTASTIC message on the importance of pursuing EXCELLENCE each and every day in our classrooms. Teachers left our kick-off meeting ready to take the steps necessary to improve by 1% or more daily as we corporately committed to meet and exceed the needs of our students. We simply cannot wait for the 2021-2022 school year to begin!

This evening, recent grad Ansley Jordan and rising sophomore Lucy Basso were recognized by US Representative Andrew Clyde in the 2021 Congressional Art Competition for Georgia’s 9th District. Of all the submissions from the ninth district, Jordan won 3rd place and Basso won 1st place for their original works! Ansley’s artwork will be on display in Rep. Clyde’s office, and Basso’s artwork will be on display for one year at the US Capital! So proud of these young ladies and their talents.
