It's a busy weekend at LCHS! Our One-Act STATE CHAMPS perform an encore of "John Lennon & Me" tonight at 5:30 PM, our Lady Indians play in the FINAL FOUR tonight at 7:00 PM , and our Mock Trial teams compete this weekend in the 6th ROUND! Come support your Indians!

Our Lady Indians play in the final four basketball game tomorrow night at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $7 for all, must be purchased at the door, and only 1300 tickets can be sold due to gym capacity. We will not be selling any tickets in advance of tomorrow evening.

It is that time of year! Join us as we begin to write our farewell letters to the Senior Class of 2021. This time honored tradition brings more than just joy to our seniors. It gives them the encouragement and reminders they need to take their next steps into adulthood as they say goodbye to their incredible years with Lumpkin County Schools.

Ms. Westafer's classes have been studying the principles behind natural selection. Today they simulated an event using fruity pebbles and fabric.
The goal of their lesson was to better understand how genetics and environment impact survival and species evolution.

LCHS Cheer Tryout Information

Mrs. Hunsinger’s Teaching As A Profession class celebrated Dr. Seuss Day. Each student chose a different title, and began the process of preparing a Children’s Literature Lesson. Students practiced reading aloud and found fun activities to correlate.

This notion is what drives us in Lumpkin County to think outside the box, to be innovative, and to work with our community in educating the whole student.
Lumpkin County Schools will work with every student in their senior year of high school to find him/her an internship, job, or some experience specific to their desired career path. Our Aim-Achieve-Arrive (AAA) Center is a place for us to meet with students to help with resumes, job applications, and interview skills. The last step once they have secured the interview is for us to outfit them with one outfit per student (from top to bottom). The idea is that we give each student an outfit that works for their new career (maybe it’s a shirt and tie and dress shoes or maybe it’s work boots and carpenter pants). No matter the style, each student is given a full outfit to better prepare them for success!
It is no longer enough for us to get student across the stage with a high school diploma in hand; Lumpkin County aspires for all our students to be successful and productive in all manners of their life. With your help and support, our aspirations become reality.
To become a sponsor of the AAA Center, click this link to make a donation now. Sponsors will receive a follow-up email with an invitation to our ribbon cutting and grand opening on March 11th.
