Meeting Overview: If you are interested in traveling to Ireland this year during Spring Break you need to attend an informational meeting on September 5th, 2019 in the LCHS auditorium. The meeting will start at 5:30 pm and should last no more than 30 minutes. During the meeting, Bryan Fagan and Jamie Caine will go over the trip itinerary, the trip cost, and how to get enrolled.

LCHS Students, we would like to invite you to OPPORTUNITY WEDNESDAY offered each Wednesday until 5:30 in the LCHS Collaborative Learning Center.



Lumpkin County High School announces the start date of Learning Lab as Monday, August 26.
Learning Lab is an extended learning opportunity for students to work with certified educators on all academic subjects from 2:30- 4:00 pm daily. A computer lab is available for students to work on credit recovery or to complete class assignments. A snack is provided daily at 2:30. Students who need a ride home and are engaged in learning until 4:00, can take one of our two buses.
No reservation or invitation is required, simply report to Computer Lab G 05 on the Modern Language hallway to sign in. The Learning Lab staff will direct you to the appropriate work space from there. We look forward to working with students again this year!

The Preliminary SAT (PSAT) is a required test for all sophomores to help prepare them for the SAT exams for college. The results are also used for course planning for Junior and Senior years. 8th & 9th grade students can pay $15 to test early in order to see what areas they need to work on before taking the SAT. Juniors this year can also take the PSAT for $15 in order to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship. See your guidance counselor with questions. Sign ups end on September 10th.
