Mrs. Rebecca Davis’s students completed an exploratory lab outside where they studied the properties of triangles.

Mrs. Walden's class was doing a group reading of chapter 2 from The Outsiders. Students analyzed ways authors develop their characters by examining characters from The Outsiders including Ponyboy and Darry Curtis. The Outsiders is a classic and timeless story that kids still enjoy reading more than 50 years after its original publication.
The LCMS Cross Country team competed today in Fannin County. The boys finished 1st and girls finished 3rd.
Six of our boys finished in the top ten and three of the girls finished in the Top 10 of their race. Great effort by all!!

Ms. Dibble's 6th-grade mathematics students are using ELT to study for a quiz on LCM and GCF by playing a Gimkit review game. The class works together to see how many questions they get right and how much money they can make before the time is up!

The LCMS 8th grade football team started their season off with a 22-8 win over Dawson County. Great job Indians!!
Students in Mrs. Trammell's 7th-grade mathematics class reviewed the coordinate plane and quadrants by running to the coordinates. They all began by starting at the origin and running left or right to get to the x-coordinate and then up or down to get to the y-coordinate.
The PSAT will be administered to 8th graders on Wed, Oct 14. The cost of the test is $20, payment deadline is Fri, Sep 11. Please place the payment, cash or check made payable to LCHS, in an envelope w/ student's name on the front and turn in to Ms. Jarrard in the front office.
Students in Ms. Davis's 7th-grade science class are using mnemonics to learn the classification system. They created a foldable and drew a picture that represents the mnemonic.
